About Love Lord Howe
Love Lord Howe ABN 33 430 264 343 operates as a babysitting referral service and a baked goods and gift delivery business on Lord Howe Island. This document contains the terms and conditions of our services in regard to the baked goods and gift delivery portion of the business. The terms and conditions in relation to our babysitting referral service can be supplied on request.
Love Lord Howe sells and delivers baked products on Lord Howe Island. Our bakers hold Food Safety Supervisor Certificates and all food handlers have been trained in safe food preparation.
Love Lord Howe also makes a small range of island gifts which are also available for purchase via our website.
By making an order with Love Lord Howe via our online shop or via email, you agree to the terms and conditions in this document.
By using Love Lord Howe’s baking and gift delivery service, you agree to the following prior to making an order online or via email:
Dietary and allergy disclosure
Customers must disclose any known allergies and dietary requirements prior to payment.
Love Lord Howe produces a variety of baked goods which can include, but are not limited to containing allergens such as gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts and seeds. Ingredients are listed on our website for our standard baked products, and can be provided on request for special order items.
Re-sale of items purchased from Love Lord Howe
Gifts and baked items made by us cannot be re-sold without the expressed written permission of Love Lord Howe.
2. Orders and payment policy
Baking and gift items can be ordered from Love Lord Howe, either our online shop or via email. If you have a special request, or require an ingredient change to a standard baked item from our online shop (for example, changing the flour type to wholemeal etc.) please contact us via email to make your order. If an ingredient is changed in a standard online shop item, it becomes classified as a special order in regards to our Order and Payment Policy.
Online shop orders and payments:
48 Hours notice is required for all items ordered via our online shop.The ingredients in a standard baked item ordered via our online shop cannot be altered or substituted in any way shape or form. This is because Love Lord Howe cannot guarantee the availability of any alteration requests due to our remote location and limited local supplies.
Should you require a baking or a gift item within 48 hours, or any ingredient changes to a standard baking item listed on our online shop, please contact us via email.
Email orders and payments:
Any alternations to a standard baked item from our online shop, or any special order requests must be done via email. Any alterations or any special requests are NOT guaranteed. This is for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to the availability of ingredients and time constraints.
If an order is received via email and Love Lord Howe is able to fulfill it, we will send you an invoice for payment. This invoice must be paid within 48 hours of issue to guarantee your order.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancelling standard baked items and gifts ordered via our online shop
Should you decide to cancel the order you made for standard items via our online shop, 24 hours written notice is required. You must advise us you wish to cancel via email – verbal requests for cancellation are not accepted. A full refund will be issued, minus a $10 administration fee per online order. The refund will be issued via your original form of payment. You will be required to provide your bank account details if you originally paid via direct credit.
Cancelling special order items
Should you decide to cancel a special order you made via email, 2 weeks written notice is required. You must advise us you wish to cancel via email – verbal requests for cancellation are not accepted. Any special ingredients required for your order can only be shipped to the island fortnightly, hence our 2 week cancellation notice requirement. Should you cancel within the allowed timeframe, a full refund will be issued, minus a $10 administration fee. The refund will be issued via your original form of payment. You will be required to provide your bank account details if you originally paid via direct credit.
If Love Lord Howe cancels your order
In the highly unlikely event that Love Lord Howe is unable to fulfil you order, we will endeavour to find another island baker who can or we will fully refund any monies paid via your original form of payment. You will be required to provide your bank account details if you originally paid via direct credit.
4. Covid-19 Policy
Your bakers and delivery persons practice Covid-19 safety principles such as:
Advising if they are unwell prior to working
Mask wearing (when required to do so as advised by NSW Health)
For your added comfort, Love Lord Howe also offers contactless delivery via our website.
Love Lord Howe collects personal information in order to fulfil and deliver baking and gift orders.
The type of personal information we may collect includes:
- Your contact information such as your name, phone number and email address.
- Your food allergy and/or dietary requirements.
- Information regarding your stay on Lord Howe Island, such as your arrival and departure dates and your accommodation provider.
- Your bank account BSB and account number to issue a refund, if you originally paid via direct credit.
We do not collect:
- Credit card data. All credit card information is entered securely through our payment gateway provider. We do not store credit card information.
Love Lord Howe strives to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of all information collected via our website. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure. However, Love Lord Howe will take reasonable steps to protect all personal information provided to us.
